Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data we process when you visit werkpult.ch, why, and for how long. It is governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

Hosting

This website runs on a cloud server provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The server is located in Nuremberg, Germany (EU). Our mailbox kontakt@werkpult.ch is also hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH (web hosting, servers in Germany, EU); Hetzner receives and processes emails sent to us. Hetzner provides the server and the mailbox on our behalf and processes data only on our instructions. According to the Swiss Federal Council, Germany provides an adequate level of data protection.

Server log files

Each time this website is accessed, the server automatically records the following information:

• the IP address of your device
• the date and time of access
• the page or file requested, the status code and the amount of data transferred
• your browser and operating system (user agent) and the page you visited before (referrer)

We use this information solely to keep the website secure and running smoothly, for example to fend off attacks and track down errors. We do not use it for marketing and do not combine it with other data.

We keep these access logs on our server (IP address, time, page requested, browser) for no more than 7 days; they are then deleted automatically.

No cookies, no tracking

This website does not set any cookies. We do not use analytics or tracking services, advertising or social media plugins, and we do not create usage profiles.

Fonts

The Inter and Poppins fonts are hosted on our own server. No data is sent to Google or any other third party when you visit the website.

Contact by email

If you send us an email, we process your email address, your name and the content of your message in order to answer your enquiry. We do not pass this information on to third parties.

We keep your message for as long as is needed to deal with your enquiry and any follow-up questions. We then delete it unless we are legally required to keep it. Logs of the mail server at Hetzner are kept in line with Hetzner’s retention periods.

Emails are usually transmitted unencrypted. Please do not send us sensitive personal data by email.

Data security

The connection to this website is encrypted with HTTPS. We protect personal data with appropriate technical and organisational measures.

Your rights

Under data protection law, you have in particular the right to:

• find out whether and which personal data we process about you
• have inaccurate data corrected
• have your data deleted, unless we are required to keep it
• object to processing
• receive your data, or have it transferred, in a common electronic format

To exercise these rights, please contact kontakt@werkpult.ch. To make sure no data reaches unauthorised persons, we may ask you to prove your identity.

You may also lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC). Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, you also have the rights it provides, including the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in the EU.

Changes

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes. The version published here applies.
